About the Newtown Choral Society
The Newtown Choral Society was formed in 1986 by community members dedicated to sharing the joy of choral music. We're open to singers of all ages (high school on up), and all abilities. Some of our members are trained vocalists, some of us simply like to sing choral music in a collegial, friendly environment.
The Newtown Choral Society is a non-profit organization that sustains itself through membership dues, ad sales, and contributions. We perform two concerts a year at Newtown’s historic Meeting House: a Holiday concert in December, and a spring concert featuring Broadway tunes, popular music, spirituals, folks songs, and other lighter fare. NCS is also available to perform at community events.
